Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway (RH&DR)

Dymchurch is a popular seaside resort, complete with holiday camp, caravan parks, light railway station and amusement park.

Dymchurch is well known for its glorious beach which attracts many thousands of visitors every year. The sandy beach is quite flat and stretches from north to south for over three miles, and is frequently 'washed' by the tide of the English Channel. 

There are many places to stay in Dymchurch, from Bed & Breakfast, Holiday Parks and Hotels.

Car Parks

There are three car parks in Dymchurch, the Parish Council's car park, Central car park and the Martello car park. All are pay and display.

Dymchurch Parish Council's car park, which also serves the Village Hall, is just off the High Street in Orgarswick Avenue. As you enter Orgarswick Avenue, the car park is on the left. The car park is free from November through to 1 April (or Easter) whichever falls earliest. The charges below are made from 1 April/Easter through to 31 October 2019, from 9am to 6pm each day.

The Martello car park is next to the beach just as you enter Dymchurch the A259 from New Romney (south). The Central car park is just off the High Street, with its entrance in Orgarswick Avenue.

Charges for these two car parks (see below) apply from 8am to 8pm on all days of the week, including Sundays and Bank Holidays. The maximum stay is 24 hours

The main public toilets are adjacent to the central car park in the High Street. [see map right] They are open throughout the year during daylight hours and closed at night. There also toilets just off the beach - see map.
